Rainbow Hunting was set up by Emma after she became widowed in her thirties when her Royal Marine husband died of oesophageal cancer in 2016 leaving her to bring up their two young children. Emma is a Grief and Adulting coach who is using her unique mix of fifteen years as a solicitor specialising in Wills and probate, mental health knowledge from retraining to be a counsellor and lived experience of her own bereavement to help others going through tricky times.
Through workshops, courses and one-on-one sessions, Emma helps clients transform from overwhelmed and stressed to calm and organised by facing up to tricky conversations and preparing for death, illness and grief. The Rainbow Hunting website has a wealth of articles on practical and emotional issues and a Directory of useful charities and organisations that can support others going through difficult times.
Emma is also a National Director of SFE, a member of the SOLLA Advisory Board, a bereavement support volunteer for the national charity Cruse, an ambassador for WAY (Widowed and Young) and Milspo (organisation for military spouses, partners and other halves who have their own businesses alongside their armed forces lives) and is a Trustee of the RMA Royal Marines Charity.
