What is Associate Membership?

  • Associate Membership is for those individuals who are currently working towards, but have not yet attained, the Later Life Adviser Accreditation.
  • Associate Membership is available for a maximum of two years, by which time you must have successfully attained the Later Life Adviser Accreditation to continue as a full member of the Society.
  • At no time must an Associate Member hold themselves out as a full member of the society, or give the impression that they have achieved the Later Life Adviser Accreditation.

What are the benefits of Associate Membership?

  • Associate Members enjoy all the benefits of full membership with exception of having a listing on the website. This is only for those who have achieved the Later Life Adviser Accreditation and have been accepted as a full member.
  • As an Associate Members you will:

    • be able to use the SOLLA Associate logo for marketing purposes
    • receive regular newsletters, communications, information, press releases and updates about the Later Life Market, including industry and legislative updates, social care, health and welfare issues etc
    • have access to specific training courses on older client matters, at preferential membership rates
    • have access to local regional SOLLA networks and the LinkedIn discussion forum, giving technical information and support from peer group
    • have access to the members area of the SOLLA website, giving additional information about SOLLA, your membership,and other useful documents and information

How may I make reference to my Associate Membership with SOLLA?

  • You will be entitled to use the SOLLA logo which has the designation “Associate” clearly displayed.

  • Your details will not appear on the SOLLA website or be made available to the public until you are a full member, but you may openly state that you are an Associate Member of SOLLA.

  • As an Associate Member you may provide a link to SOLLA website from your own web page(s).

  • Any references you make to SOLLA must relate to you as an individual member and not to your wider organisation or group. Membership of the Society of Later Life Advisers is an individual membership and use of the logo should not in any way imply that membership of the Society is that of the wider firm, organisation or department therein.

Membership Requirements

  • Associate Members must inform SOLLA Enterprises immediately if their circumstances change, as to employer or any upheld complaints.

Termination of Membership 

  • At the end of your Associate Membership, you are required to remove all references to your SOLLA Associate Membership, or use of the SOLLA Associate logo, from all literature, letterheads, brochures, email signatures, websites and other promotional and information material used in the conduct of your business within sixty days.

Data Protection

  • SOLLA’s data protection statement can be found at www.societyoflaterlifeadvisers.co.uk/privacy-policy.  Your details will be stored on our customer database. We may use your personal data for future e-mail mailings, general correspondence and correspondence which may relate to you. We will not share your data with third parties.  If you would rather not receive future marketing e-mails from us please inform us by e-mail admin@societyoflaterlifeadvisers.co.uk.
