What is Affiliate Membership?

  • Affiliate Membership is for those individuals or organisations who wish to act as ambassadors for SOLLA and support its aims.
  • Afiliate Membership is not available to individuals or organisations that offer regulated financial advice, or are in any way involved with the sale of unregulated financial products.
  • Affiliate Members must agree to refer/introduce consumers that require regulated financial advice only to SOLLA Later Life Accredited Advisers.
  • Affiliate Membership are subject to an annual renewal, where you must inform us if any details have changed during the last twelve months. 
  • At no time must an Affiliate Member hold themselves out as an accredited member of the society, or give the impression that they have achieved the Later Life Adviser Accreditation.

What are the benefits of Affiliate Membership?

  • Use of the SOLLA Affiliate Member logo for your marketing purposes
  • Details of your organisation will be listed in the members area of the SOLLA website, so that other SOLLA members can find out more about the Affiliate Members in their area, and connect with you. 
  • Receive regular newsletters, communications, information, press releases and updates about the Later Life Market, including industry and legislative updates, social care, health and welfare issues etc
  • Access to specific training courses on older client matters, at preferential membership rates
  • Access to your local regional SOLLA network and the LinkedIn discussion forum, giving technical information and support from peer group
  • Opportunity to introduce your organisation to local SOLLA members during a regional group meeting, with time for you to outline the services you provide, and how you could support and work with local SOLLA accredited advisers  
  • Opportunity to purchase personalised rack cards and other marketing materials
  • Access to the members area of the SOLLA website, giving additional information about SOLLA, your membership, and other useful documents and information

How may I make reference to my Affiliate Membership with SOLLA?

  • You will be entitled to use the SOLLA logo which has the designation “Affiliate” clearly displayed.
  • Your details will appear in the members area of the SOLLA website, for other members / advisers to find you, however your details will not appear on the main SOLLA website or be made available to the public, but you may openly state that you are an Affiliate Member of SOLLA.
  • As an Affiliate Member, you may provide a link to SOLLA website from your own website.

Membership Requirements

  • Affiliate Members must inform SOLLA immediately if their circumstances change, specifically in any changes that may impact your eligibility for Affiliate Membership.
  • Affiliate members is subject to an annual renewal, and you must inform us of any changes, including the main or additional contacts, contact details, description of what you do, and any upheld complaints in the last 18 months. 
  • Affiliate Members must not contact accredited SOLLA members as part of a marketing campaign, and should only to connect with local advisers regarding local support, networking and referrals.

Termination of Membership 

  • At the end of your Affiliate Membership, you are required to remove all references to your SOLLA Affiliate membership, or use of the SOLLA Affiliate logo, from literature, letterheads, brochures, email signatures, websites, social media and other promotional and information material used in the conduct of your business within sixty days.

Data Protection

  • SOLLA’s data protection statement can be found at www.societyoflaterlifeadvisers.co.uk/privacy-policy. Your details will be stored on our customer database. We may use your personal data for future e-mail mailings, general correspondence and correspondence which may relate to you. We will not share your data with third parties. If you would rather not receive future marketing e-mails from us please inform us by e-mail admin@societyoflaterlifeadvisers.co.uk.
